It is the purpose of the Big Sandy Chamber of Commerce to facilitate economic growth through business and educational development programs and to foster community pride through Chamber-sponsored programs and activities.

The Chamber provides networking and educational opportunities for its members. We also welcome new businesses that come to our community with a “Ribbon cutting Ceremony” and a plaque, which signifies they are members who support our community. We also encourage area residents to shop in Big Sandy when possible, in order to keep retail and tax dollars working in the local economy.

In addition, the Chamber through the Big Sandy Chamber Scholarship Association awards scholarships annually to graduating seniors from Big Sandy High School. Miss Big Sandy is selected each year and sponsored by the Chamber. The Chamber also sponsors the following events:

The Big Sandy Chamber of Commerce is an organization comprised of volunteers. Memberships, donations and community-sponsored events are the sole source of our finances. The names of businesses and/or individuals that sponsor each event are prominently displayed at events.
